- You need to register an account and download your license file to be able to start the local installation. xplain license service.
- Installer will not provide any demo data, if you want to start from some test data, you could copy the following demo dataset to your home directory.

- FDZ (Forschungsdatenzentrum): A public use file prepared by the German Health Data Lab.
- BPI: Business Process Data, published by the BPI Challenge 2019
- NBA: Data gathered from the National Basketball Association via the R package nbastatR.
Alternatively, you may download the prepared demo data, unzip the file, rename it to /xdata, copy /xdata folder to your home directory
To import raw data from relational database to your local XOE application, you will need to start the Admin Tool from the XOE. You may either import some local data or connect to a relational database.
You may try and use the following data source with a number of open relational databases.
